It also houses a documentation centre for students.

Documentation and Information Centre

Until 1992, La Fémis, formerly IDHEC, owned the largest collection of publications on French film. This was then donated in 1992 to the Bibliothèque du Film (@|LIEN7791692|W0JpRmktPmh0dHA6Ly93d3cuYmlmaS5mci9d|@) to make up the major part of its own collection, which was later expanded by collections from the Archives Françaises du Film and the Cinémathèque française. In 2007, the BiFi merged with the Cinémathèque française, which adopted its missions, collections and staff.

As a result, La Fémis is no longer in possession of these documents, which are still available to the public for consultation at the Cinémathèque française. However, the school did create a Documentation and Information Centre (DIC) for the exclusive use of students.
The DIC’s collection includes a library of 300 publications, 500 student dissertations, 12 periodicals and a film library holding some 1,900 titles (documentary films on DVD, feature films, experimental films and shorts, student films).
